This Glossary includes a list of terms and definitions that will help you understand and navigate features related to rows.
Row
A Row is a section within the builder that allows for the dragging and dropping of various content blocks, enabling customization and editing.
Row Name
You can name the rows you create when you save them. Your Row Name will help you identify the row you saved for future use.
Builder
The builder is the interface within the software that allows you to assemble, customize, and manage the layout and elements of their projects.
Hosted Rows
A feature within the builder that allows you to save rows that you have created for future use. This feature enables you to organize rows into categories for easier identification and retrieval, enhancing productivity and ensuring design consistency across different projects by reusing preferred layouts.
Edit Info
One of two row management options. Use this option to edit a row's name or category.
Delete
One of two row management options. Use this to delete a saved row you no longer need.
Note: After a hosted row is deleted, that row will still be available within any design it was added to.
Row Category
A category that groups and organizes rows. Create and use row categories to organize your rows in groups. This will help you find rows you'd like to reuse easily.
Modal
A modal is a type of window that appears in front of app content to provide critical information or prompt the you to make a decision.
Sidebar
A sidebar is a user interface element that displays additional information, navigation links, or tools, typically aligned alongside the main content area.
Hosted Saved Rows enables you to save, name, categorize, and manage saved rows. Saved Rows include content that you plan on reusing often in the future. You can include a combination of different types of content and content properties within a row, and save it to use it again at a later date.
Take the following steps to save a row:
Enter your design's builder.
Navigate to the row you'd like to save.
Click on the row within the stage.
Click the floppy disc Save icon on the upper right-hand side of the row.
A modal will appear asking you to confirm your row's name and category.
Confirm your row's name and category.
Click Save to confirm.
The following image shows an example of the Save your row modal. Through this modal, you can assign a Row name and Category to your row and save it.
You can add a new row category one of two ways within the application. These methods are the following:
Use the Save Hosted Row Modal to type and create a new row category.
Use the sidebar within the builder to manage your rows library.
To use the Save Hosted Row Modal to type and create a new row category, follow the steps outlined in the previous section.
Take the following steps to add a new row category to your library using the builder sidebar:
Navigate to the ROWS tab in your sidebar.
Click the options menu, which is identifiable as three vertical dots.
Click Add new category.
A modal displaying Add new category will appear.
Type the new category's name in the respective field.
Click Save to create the new category.
Take the following steps to edit a hosted saved row through the sidebar:
Navigate to your builder's sidebar.
Click ROWS tab.
Locate your hosted row using either the search bar or drop-down menu.
Click on the options menu on the lower left-hand corner of your hosted row.
Click Edit info.
A modal will appear with your hosted row's Name and Category.
Edit the information accordingly.
Click Update to confirm your changes to the Hosted Row's information.
The following image shows an example of the ROWS tab in the sidebar. The hosted row is in a category called "Bird Collection" and the Options menu displays the options to Edit Info or Delete the hosted hosted row.
Take the following steps to delete a hosted saved row through the sidebar:
Navigate to your builder's sidebar.
Click ROWS.
Locate your hosted row using either the search bar or drop-down menu.
Click on the options menu on the lower left-hand corner of your hosted row.
Click Delete.
A modal will appear asking you to confirm the deletion of the row.
Click Delete to confirm the deletion.
Noted: The hosted row will be deleted, but the designs with the row will not be impacted. The row will still be visible within those designs.
If you try to create a row category with the name of a row category that already exists, you will receive an error message informing you that the row category name already exists.
The steps outlined in this section refer to saving a row as new after it has already been saved elsewhere.
Take the following steps to save a row as new:
Click the Save floppy disc icon for the row you'd like to save as new.
A modal will appear providing you with the option to update the Row name and Category, or to save the row as new.
Confirm the Row name and Category.
Click Save as new.
The row will save under the category you selected.
