DiscussCategory: Feature requestsBee – Base 64 encoding images
Anita asked 5 months ago

Hello,

We are looking into using our own file storage for image uploads.

We currently don’t have a way to return a public-url to the image for the endpoints defined here (i.e. upload file, retrieve a single file’s meta data);

https://docs.beefree.io/connect-your-own-file-storage/

Is there a possility to render images inline using Base64 encoding? In other words, would it be possible to return the Base 64 encoding source for the image tag rendered rather than a public url?

Thanks!

Anita

Hi Anita,

BEE Plugin requires images to have source URLs. You may Base64 encode and inline the images before you send the HTML message, but during the editing process their must be a URL for everything to work correctly.
